Libretto Music products are designed and formulated for safe use in oiling musical instruments. Here’s what you need to know:

General Safety

• Our products are safe and non-toxic when used for their intended purpose.
• In compliance with regulations in the US and Europe, all light oils sold to consumers are recognized as aspiration risks. Therefore, they do not carry a "non-toxic" statement on the bottle.
• All brands of valve oils and other light hydrocarbon oils, whether petroleum-based or synthetic, require a safety warning statement and child-resistant packaging.

Synthetic Oils and Greases

• Synthetic oils and greases are considered safer than standard petroleum products.
• They do not have strong odors that can cause irritation and discomfort.
• They are safe when in contact with food, so incidental contact with your fingers poses no risk when eating.
• They are non-flammable, non-combustible, and biodegradable.
